To develop high quality people, people need to regularly play the game, and develop the ability to perform effectively.
A game model is proposed to support the development of a style of player that can effectively demonstrate their DNA qualities. This model also provides a scaffold for specific clubs to develop their own style of play. Additionally, the model enables a deliberate focus on the development of individual people within a team environment, which links to the overall vision & mission of NWSF.
The model is based on the fact that the aim of football is to score goals, and to stop the opposition from scoring.
The role of coaches and staff is to facilitate environments in which players are exposed to a wide variety of football situations in which they repeat core actions that allow players to ultimately achieve the outcome of the game, which is to score and stop goals.
