X-factors
Players at the highest level typically not only develop all of the DNA qualities, but can be distinguished or separated from their peers in one or more of these key words
While the DNA qualities are viewed as seperate yet interrelated attributes, it is clear that to progress through talent pathways it is beneficial for players to have ‘X-factor’.
X-factors are where a talented player is considered to be ‘above and beyond’ in one or more of the six key words. This is an attribute that separates the player from their peers in the same age or same stage.
It is these X-factors that can help players progress to NWS Spirit FC talent programs and to state and national team performance programs.
Coaches and staff are encouraged to actively seek out and develop X-factor qualities. Players should be supported to reflect on and develop their personal X-factors.
