Welcome to our Spirit tribe! We are a club built on our local community to develop high quality people, and you play a crucial role in that process.
As we look ahead to 2025, you’ll be part of something special.
Our First Grade squads compete in the highest levels of NSW. Our NWSF DNA is considered best practice in NSW, achieving one of the highest scores in Football NSW’s new criteria and benchmarking systems for clubs. Our club continues to grow and evolve with the aspiration of becoming a leader in Australian football.
This progress is built on a rich history and a culture that shapes every player and staff member. Our values are to be humble, to work hard, and to be here for the right reasons. It is important we do this every day through our actions, and role model these to our players.
We’re all part of one tribe, working towards the same vision. To help us achieve this, and to enjoy every moment of the 2025 season, please read the following information carefully.
Below, you will find important information relating to the 2025 season. Please take the time to read through each section carefully.
Club updates
As a club, we always look to grow and evolve our programs and practices, lead by good people.
We are pleased to announce in 2025 Dimitri Tomaras will be the Head of MYL and JDL, working across this pathway to develop our talented players.
Dimitri will be supported by Jack Urgun as the Assistant Head of JDL, alongside his existing role as Head of Skilful DNA.
It is also very exciting to confirm that Chris Marques will lead our JDL and Youth League goalkeeping programs.
Ken Greenhead will continue to develop our Mens and Womens First Grade programs.
We will confirm the full leadership staff in our coaches workshop on Sunday 5th January.
Communication channels
Our primary communication channel is WhatsApp. Please ensure you have this installed on your phone, with notifications on.
In this community, you’ll see various groups for each of our different programs. If you are not already in your relevant group chat, please request to join.
WhatsApp is also where we post club-wide news (via our channel). This replaces TeamApp for 2025.
In the coming weeks, all coaches will receive a communication from the club. This email will include a letter confirming your role. It will also have a Jotform for you to complete. This needs to be completed as soon as possible, to enable us to order the coaching kits for 2025 and complete our compliance requirements with Football NSW.
Please ensure you enter information on this form carefully. This includes your email address, as we will use this to send other required information. This includes our monthly club newsletter.
Timetable
Please see below a draft version of the full timetable for 2025.
Our aim has been to develop a club-wide timetable for the entire calendar year. We hope this enables future planning for all. We have aimed to reduce (where possible) the movement of teams between training days/time slots in the different periods of the year.
It is important to note we have changes in field allocations at different times of the year which impact allocations.
It is also important to note this is purely a draft timetable, for planning purposes. The final confirmed timetable will be sent via PDF to the WhatsApp community.
If you have any questions on the timetable, please direct them to TP via WhatsApp.
Calendar
We have also been working hard to develop a club-wide calendar for the full year.
Please note these dates are subject to change. All upcoming events will be confirmed via Whatsapp.
For clarity, the compulsory events in January & February are:
JDL/YL coaches workshops on Sunday January 5th, and Tuesday January 7th
All programs return to training from Wednesday January 8th
JDL/YL internal matches on Saturday January 11th
DNA Day for players & parents on Sunday 12th January, providing an introduction and insight into who we are and what we do
The annual Jersey Presentation Day which is a special whole club event, on Saturday 1st February, at Allianz Stadium
Throughout January/February, all JDL, YL & Senior teams have friendly matches each weekend. This also includes midweek matches for Seniors, MYL & AYL.
Please also note…
The Bathurst Cup (for M12 to M18 and A13 to A18) on the weekend of 8th & 9th February
The Proctor Cup (for W12 to W18) on the weekend of 15th & 16th February
This year, we will be introducing ‘IDP nights‘. These are designated nights for JDL & YL coaches to complete their player interviews in a bulk process on a night seperate to training.
The intent of this is to support coaches to be able to complete these in a timely fashion, and to enhance player outcomes from these important development milestones.
These are…
JDL: Monday 17th & Friday 21st February
Youth League: Tuesday 18th February
Finally, note that dates for the Football NSW competitions can be found on the calendar itself.
